Dear Ms. McCloy,

Sharon Everett and myself will be attending the August Election Center Annual Conference. Neither of us are taking any CERA courses prior to the two day meeting on Thursday and Friday. At this point, I believe the directors of the Forsyth, Rockingham, Cabarrus County Boards of Elections are going and may be taking some CERA courses. It is not required for county election officials or staff to inform this office of attending professional meetings or CERA and other educational courses for election administrators.

At the present time, I will be attending a professional education class with college level professors as well as the annual conference. 95% of The Election Center conference is educational. The remainder is interacting with persons from other states and EAC/federal election persons.
